PKR makes a clean break the rage agaist PAS, the silence of the Ummah

The rage agaist PAS, the silence of the Ummah

How the  PAS Jihadis “have been more ruthless in their pursuit of them than they have against other minorities

A tremendous phenomenon of the times is the realization that each one of us has the power to bring about change just by knowing what we want and acting on it!Narrow your focus for a broader vision
PAS Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad is a progressive leader and he's trying to play the mediator. Unfortunately, it's difficult, even if the ulama faction eventually back down, to trust PAS again in the future. The coalition’s discipline has been exposed to be so fragile that BN is going to have a field day whacking them until GE14.Like said before, religious and devout they may be, but political savvy and administrative knowhow to run a modern economy they are still found wanting. It appears like the two top PAS leaders have just stabbed a dagger into their young hearts. They, including the 51 percent who voted Pakatan in 2013, are losing hope in this country.PAS for prolonging this debacle.  giving enough rope for the ulama faction who sowed fear into the Muslims minds of  to hang themself. Rather, enough rope to hang the whole Pakatan state government
A lot of good things in life require us to narrow our focus. To meditate effectively, we need to narrow our focus almost to a pinpoint. Medical treatments — from the microscope to the laser — are all about a narrower, more focused process. Even to look far into the distance, we narrow our gaze by squinting to get a clearer vision.  A narrow focus is critical; however in order to narrow that focus in the right direction, you need a broader vision. Meditation may require a narrow focus, and yet you do it to understand a broad focus of life. Healing may require specialists, but who can deny the significance of the physician who takes an overall view? A business narrows its focus based on its broader vision. Too much of a narrow-focus vision and tense, constricted attention leads to stress and disquiet; you need your moments of open focus to relax.
So, the vision needs to be broad, within which we need to narrow focus in specified areas. Just as while walking or driving, you use broader vision to get a general idea of the road and then focus on the immediate step ahead.  Blind faith or loyalty in a dog is a laudable virtue, but when it comes to human beings, it becomes a questionable one. Very often, we are expected to display loyalty to our in-groups — friends, the family unit, workplace colleagues, religion, politics or sports clubs — without using our own judgment, just because we ‘belong’. Hence you will often notice that many amongst an agitating group do not even understand the basic principle they are fighting for; they are just in it together. Use of intellect and adherence to truth are expected to take a backseat when it comes to standing up for, or with those we owe our allegiance to.

Whatever the outcome, in a year's time, hope the grassroots of PAS are awakened to the need to strengthen the progressive faction within PAS and once and for all relegate the ulama to a respectable advisory role which is where they belong.

Then the entire PKR and DAP machinery can focus on electoral reform and winning over rural folks with a single-minded message of change.
‘Even if Khalid is ousted, the damage cannot be repaired.’ let’s take stock, politically.Selagorian sought freedom from  UMNO British style  rule to give themselves a collective life in which they could choose their leaders, enjoy certain rights and more or less openly express their views on the rules and policies that govern their intercourse. The whole episode has been ridiculous so far. Khalid Ibrahim is Selangor MB because of the Pakatan Rakyat coalition.

Now that he has lost the support of more than half of the exco as well as the coalition, on what basis is he holding on to the post?

PAS has shown its true colours and it has damaged PAS' credibility amongst thinking people who followed this disgusting political charade.

Khalid Ibrahim, PAS and Umno have totally lost their political standing in the eyes of the Selangorians but sad to say they have even dragged the palace into this fiasco.Blind faith or loyalty in a dog is a laudable virtue, but when it comes to human beings, it becomes a questionable one. Use of intellect and adherence to truth are expected to take a backseat when it comes to standing up for, or with those we owe our allegiance to.When the emperor stepped out naked in the fairytale, The Emperor’s New Clothes, who was more loyal? The entire kingdom that pretended to admire his non-existent clothes, or the child who cried out, ‘Look mom, the emperor is naked’? Birbal is a good example of an adviser who tempered his loyalty with sense and intelligence, using wit as a tool to convey his honest opinions to Emperor Akbar in a court full of yeasayers. Nobody can question his loyalty to the emperor and yet he often disagreed with Akbar. But then you need a generous and confident Akbar to admire the Birbal in you.
When truth and loyalty are in conflict, we should have the wisdom and courage to decide what to do. Unconditional loyalty is outmoded; loyalty should be conditional, based on our own set of values. A consciousness of this would give one the courage to take unpopular stances that go against the prevailing misguided opinions in groups. Silence can also be looked upon as complicity if we quietly go along with something we do not believe in.
How can the consequence of loyalty to another be self-betrayal? Being loyal to someone does not mean closing your eyes to their faults; it means keeping their well-being and best interest close to your heart. Loyalty should not mean blind faith; it should mean an on-going reality check not just for our own benefit, but also for the benefit of those we profess loyalty towards.
In fact, our loyalty as self-respecting human beings should be with our own selves. If you are a good human being, you are bound to do good not only for yourself, but also for the benefit of those you are loyal to; if not, you are not good to those who possess your loyalty anyway.
Loyalty to ideas, religion and politics is good only so long as it helps us relate with like-minded people and protects us, giving us a sense of belonging. It is good so long as it does not encourage narrow-minded bigotry. One needs to keep re-examining ideas in different contexts and bring a new light and fresh air to old, antiquated beliefs.
Most of us hold beliefs that have been passed down to us through generations without pausing to re-examine them in the light of fresh evidence or the changed reality. What good are ideas you adhered to at the age of 13 by the time you reach 50? Bring new light to well-entrenched beliefs, analyse and rethink them. Else you are deceiving your own self and being self-righteous.
Loyalty must be tempered with truth and intelligence and must adhere to the values one holds dear. It should not be confused with obedience or adherence, but should be looked upon more as a feeling, an emotion, a bonding with someone for whose benefit you are prepared to go to great lengths.

PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Passionate homilies: domesticated Pas

PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Passionate homilies: domesticated Pas speech lay in her domestication of national issues, namely, the way Pas treat our women and the way  it create filth.PAS' denial has failed to douse the burning speculation that the Islamic party is opposed to Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail becoming Selangor menteri besar because of her gender.   Does God look at gender? This is more important than religious belief. Religion and politics do not mix. Sultan is not god. Even if he is he should treat every human being fairly and equally. How would PAS feel if we were to do the same crap in Kelanttan?she took the battle straight to the parents. How could they treat their own girls so poorly and pamper their sons all the way? After all, women care for their elders more lovingly than men do — in fact, so many of them stay spinsters just for this reason.Try asking a man to make that choice! Not just that, women are well up on other fronts too. If that takes some convincing, look at the medals Malaysian women have won in the recent Commonwealth Games. this Woman thing has to do with Hadi Awang. Apparently he had a dream where God tells him not to support Wan Azizah to become MB. So he translates that as God having told him to not support Azizah. And of course no one disputes what God tells him and so all the PAS folks are stuck. Its so convenient that God only speaks to Hadi. Is he trying hard to become like Tok Guru where supporters treat them reverently? ..PAS is for male chauvinist old religious bigots. Their chief bigot can't even manage Terengganu for more than one term.Apart from the palace’s role, the crisis in Selangor is dragging on due to the failure of PAS and PKR to agree on who should replace Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

Last night, PAS openly rejected Dr Wan Azizah Ismai’s candidacy but PKR continues to remain adamant in wanting its president to helm the state.

Prior to this, a meeting between PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim also failed to break the deadlock.

When Perak was about to leave Pakatan grip, both PKR & DAP fought so hard for PAS MB......but now in Selangor, PAS fought so hard not to help DAP & PKR......whoever can't see this clearly must be the greatest idiots...Wan Azizah is the President of PKR for more than 10 years and she was chosen by PKR not only Anwar. DAP did not have any problem with the choice of Wan Azizah as they respect the partnership of Pakatan. It looks like Hadi and PAS is being stubborn .

PKR president opted Unlike what past  Selangor menteri besar did routinely, she saw virtue in Selagor for all  for the path less travelled which, as it turns out, was good political judgment. No bullet proof glass, no written speech and no mention either of security threats from Perkas  was there any heavy duty policy announcement with a political ancestor on the masthead like for Anwar in the Past
PAS has no say of who PKR chooses and anyway events have overtaken their procrastination. If this ‘ploy’ is their ONLY face-saving gesture, then PAS might as well strike-up camp, and disappear into Oblivion. Virtue, Grace and Rectitude are alien concepts to the Hyper-Religious.
Dr Wan Azizah Wan   finally condemned to oblivion the lingering vestige of beleaguered Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid 's early attempt to mimic UMNO  command economy. Selangor's liberation fromUMNO British colonial divide rule. A new institution would be set up "in a short span of time", As the  ordered bureaucrats to get to work on time in beleaguered Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid 's  Selangor government is not an assembled entity but an organic entity. ButI  will tried to break down his walls," with the needs of a modern economy and the trend of empowering Selangor state.

The Selangor sultan should appoint PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail since she commands the majority in the state assembly, said constitutional law expert Abdul Aziz Bari.
Dr Wan Azizah Wan  vows to fix broken Selangor govt "Faster, More Inclusive and Sustainable Growth".for all Pressured to resign following declaration of no confidence by the majority of Selangor assemblypersons, Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim now says that dissolution may be an option.
Muhammad, who is also a PAS member, said that PAS should immediately make a decision, taking into account the current reality of the Selangor crisis."Making decisions so late. What does it mean? We have to look at today's reality… don't have to wait till August 17…By the same token something is rotten again, if domesticated homilies PAS — of hearth and home, of sons and daughters, of cleanliness and toilets  we have to focus on what happens today Khalid has no business telling Wan Azizah to demonstrate her majority in the state assembly. The fact is that Khalid has no majority support and he should go. What happens after he goes is not his business. He can't dictate. He's not the Sultan. He has no business telling anyone to demonstrate their majority in the state assembly. Let's not mix up the issues. Khalid has no business advising the Sultan that the state assembly should be dissolved. PR has two-thirds majority in the state assembly. Going back to the people for what purpose? The result will be the same. We just had a General Election last year. If the issue is PAS, then going back to the people would be the right thing to do. Let the people wipe out PAS from the state assembly.
"They're late, the party is over, the bride and groom have left.A coalition presenting itself as a government in waiting must demonstrate highest levels of political integrity , institutional accountability and ethical behaviour. Personal integrity of politicians is as critical as the integrity of the political system including the processes.. The integrity of the political processes must not be breached

Former Selangor menteri besar Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib has criticised PAS for taking its time to make a decision on the MB crisis in the state, even when Umno has announced that it would support Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.   scores high on oratory but has delivered on few of his election campaign promises.

PAS central executive committee meets to make a final stand on the Selangor crisis, the party's vice-president fires a salvo against beleaguered Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim. Selangor now also diffirent version.PAS cannot give the reason why their reject Dr Wan Azizah Wan .By right with clear majority she should be sworn in not calling for Snap election worth million which is also a problem to the Rakyat.Unfair to assume and write-off all from PAS in toto. There are many wise and moderates within PAS as well.Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim's legitimacy as Selangor menteri besar is over, PAS vice-president Datuk Husam Musa wrote in an open letter to the embattled leader today, although the Islamist party has yet to make an official stand on the issue
Husam said that Khalid's hope to get another Selangor lawmaker to join his side has ended after Batu Tiga assemblywoman Rodziah Ismail quit as state executive councillor to join her PKR colleagues in repudiating the menteri besar's leadership.
side with Khalid Ibrahim. Dr. Wan Azizah is PKR’s choice. PAS must respect PKR’s nominee. The fact that she is Anwar’s wife, or a woman, should not be an issue. the recent developments of its two assembly persons who openly support Wan Azizah Wan Azizah an inept Leader?

Political observers see a possible clash between the pro-ulama and Erdogan factions with both sides said to be of equal strength in terms of numbers. Those expected at the meeting include Mohamad, Secretary-General Mustafa Ali, Nasrudin Hassan, Nik Abduh Nik Aziz, Hanipa Maidin and the three Vice-Presidents Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, Salahuddin Ayub and Husam Musa.

The Erdogan group, whose leaning is towards Pakatan Rakyat, is likely to reject moves by the pro-ulama faction who is said to be intent for PAS to leave the opposition front. Sources told Malaysiakini that there are increasing agitations by the pro-ulama faction to leave Pakatan Khalid is running the Selangor government with the help of four PAS executive councillors and support from the 12 Barisan Nasional (BN) assemblymen in the 56-seat state legislature.

PAS has 15 assemblymen in the legislature, but two have now joined the 13 PKR lawmakers and 15 DAP lawmakers to support PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the new menteri besar for the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) pact.

PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang had openly backed Khalid to remain as menteri besar but the party's central working committee will only meet this Sunday to finalise its decision, which must be ratified by the party's Shura council.DAP has agreed to Dr Wan Azizah taking over the post in the country's wealthiest state but PAS has objected, although saying it went beyond the issue of gender.

Husam said that given current circumstances, Khalid must know his limits when it comes to riding on PAS support. The party should not be dragged any further into this controversy for his own survival.

"He can get sympathy, temporary protection and support from PAS in the spirit of the Pakatan Rakyat coalition and PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang had also extended the olive branch to him.

"But that episode is over."

Husam said PAS should not be in limbo with Khalid and sacrifice its principles or the good name it holds within the Pakatan coalition as mandated by the people of Selangor.

He added that after being sacked from PKR and not being accepted into any of the coalition parties, Khalid did not represent Pakatan anymore.

"The Selangor government is a PR government, not the government of Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim."

He also said Khalid's actions in sacking PKR and DAP exco members and his other moves had implicated PAS when the party never knew what he had planned to do.

These actions, he said, can cause Pakatan to break up, given the impression that PAS continued to support an illegitimate menteri besar.

He added that when Khalid decided to sack the PKR and DAP exco members but retained the PAS four, the matter should have been discussed with the Islamist party's central committee. He should have also obtained the approval of its coalition partners.

He said that as far as he was aware, the PAS central committee never discussed that move and that it never gave the mandate to anyone to arrive at that decision.

"By doing this, Tan Sri is involving PAS in his survival as menteri besar and also compromises the party's good name in the eyes of the people of Selangor.

"This is not fair."

Husam said that even if the Selangor sultan had consented to him remaining as menteri besar, Khalid had the option of rejecting it.

He said that Khalid should not use the 15 PAS assemblymen to get the numbers in setting up a Selangor government together with Umno and those hopping from DAP and PKR.

"That is immoral and follows what Umno did in Perak," Husam said, adding it went against the basics of democracy.

He added that a PAS-Umno alliance was also against the Islamist party's principles.

"Umno is our political opponent and there isn't any element in PAS that will allow power-sharing with Umno without the approval of the PAS Muktamar.

"To do so would be akin to PAS committing sodomy.”

Husam added that if Khalid truly appreciated PAS friendship with him until now, he should not drag the party any further in this controversy and instead do the honourable thing by stepping down

"What more when two PAS assemblymen took their personal step to reject Tan Sri as a menteri besar openly," he said in the open letter made available readmorehttp://themalaybusinesstribune.blogspot.com/2014/08/president-datuk-seri-dr-wan-azizah.html
