Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik said he has tried to get over his ordeal, which he described as "wrongful prosecution," but admitted that he had lost confidence in the judicial system.and Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Patail Crass political opportunism has a new name Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Patail Najib has squandered the goodwill of its electorate, and with it the momentum that it had seized prior to G14 elections
Former Transport Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik is self-serving and hypocritical for daring to criticise the judicial system over the RM12.5 billion Port Klang Free Zone scandal, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang  (pic) said.
Lim said Dr Ling should remember his role in the 1988 judicial crisis when former Lord President Tun Salleh Abbas and two Supreme Court judges were sacked.
"The sacking of Salleh, Tan Sri Wan Suleiman Pawanteh and Datuk George Seah were not only arbitrary, but unconstitutional as well," Lim pointed out in a statement today.
"Dr Ling should remember that he bears full responsibility for the state of the justice system in Malaysia today, since he was part of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's administration."
In an interview on Thursday, Dr Ling said, although he had been acquitted of all corruption charges in relation to the PKFZ scandal, his confidence in Malaysia's judicial system had been shaken.
"Dr Ling's confidence is shaken? Malaysia has yet to recover from that judicial crisis 26 years ago," Lim said.
He pointed out that Dr Mahathir's successor, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, had expressed regret and remorse for the 1988 judicial assault by Barisan Nasional.
"The events of 1988 and after that undermined the independence, impartiality and professionalism of the judiciary and justice system in the country," Lim said.
"Has Dr Ling ever expressed the same regret and remorse for aiding and abetting Dr Mahathir?" he asked.
Lim said if it was true that Dr Ling had been wrongly accused of corruption in the PKFZ scandal and suffered a grave injustice, he was prepared to support the latter till the end.
"No stone should be left unturned in uncovering the truth about the PKFZ issue,” he said, calling it is the 'mother of all scandals'.
Ling said both Dr Ling and another former Transport Minister Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy should be given justice if it was true that they had been wrongly accused of corruption in the PKFZ scandal.
"The best way to get to the heart of the issue is for Putrajaya to form a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) and probe the facts surrounding the PKFZ scandal," Lim said.
"The allegations made by Dr Ling that he had been wrongly accused and charged with corruption, even before the Attorney-General's Chambers had gathered sufficient evidence is no laughing matter.
"More important than justice for Dr Ling and Chan, is the justice for the 29 million Malaysians who are entitled to know the truth about the PKFZ scandal," said Lim
He questioned if Dr Ling and Chan would support his call for a RCI to probe the PKFZ scandal.
"If they have nothing to hide, I am sure they would also want to know the truth," he added.
On Thursday, Dr Ling accused the Attorney General's Chambers of disrespecting Chinese leaders in Malaysia and looking down on them.
Dr Ling claimed that he was trying to get over his ordeal, which he described as wrongful prosecution.
He was acquitted of deceiving the Cabinet by failing to disclose an additional interest rate of 7.5% to the purchase price of RM25 psf in the PKFZ deal. This is despite knowing that the interest rate was included in the price.
The AG decided not to appeal against the acquittal as the judge's finding was based on facts.
In acquitting Dr Ling, High Court judge Datuk Ahmadi Asnawi ruled that the former minister could not be held accountable for any mistake, misleading information, or inaccuracy in the preparation of the ministry's documents regarding the land acquisition, although Dr Ling had signed the documents.
"If any, the blame should be apportioned wholly and squarely upon the officers of the Transport Ministry who drafted and prepared the documents," the judge had said.
MCA's Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy was also acquitted of three counts of cheating former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi earlier this week.
Chan's lead counsel Datuk Tan Hock Chuan said the prosecution decided against going through with the trial after studying the acquittal of Dr Ling.
Chan was charged on February 28, 2011 with cheating Abdullah over the RM1.9 billion trans-shipment project between 2004 and 2006. He faced up to five years’ jail on each count.
The project was initially tagged at RM1.1 billion after it was mooted by Dr Ling in 1997, but had more than quadrupled to RM4.6 billion by 2007

The much-photographed wife of high-profile prime minister's wife Rosmah finds on her phone highly romantic and emotionally  messages from an attractive journalist from Utusan and leaks them on Twitter. PM'S wife tells  his account had not been hacked, that she was the one who had posted the messages, and that "this completely stupidJeswant Kaur journalist has been stalking Rosmah

Malaysians are having it hard, having to deal with an expensive cost of living and at the same time being dictated to about their religion, that too by politicians who are hopelessly ignorant and insensitive in more ways than one.
Puisi Kangkung

Pucuknya angkuh memanjat bukit,
tak sedar akar terendam air parit,
rakyat mengeluh lelah dan sakit,
sedikit diberi banyak diungkit..

wat is kangkung

Pucuknya angkuh memanjat bukit,
Tak sedar akar diair parit,
Bagaikan melepas anjing tersepit,
Dah jadi pemimpin , rakyat digigit.
