Clock Ticking Away Najib doesn’t need any enemy as long as Muhyiddin is his deputy.

Candidate hopefuls have been jockeying intensely, and this has intensified after the lists were forwarded this year. Positioning for candidacy has dominated attention, reinforcing the pressures on Najib to call the polls according to when different actors believe is “best”.The longer the infighting goes on, the greater the political bruising will be within UMNO. Personally, economically and politically, Najib is caught in a political quagmire. When he goes to the polls, he will face a fierce contest. And he will face real challenges to his position within UMNO. If he delays, conditions will reinforce a process of diminishing returns. The choice to delay has only served to heighten the pressure to perform. As the countdown to the GE continues, Najib’s clock is ticking louder than ever. The next window ahead is early November and time will tell whether he will use this window to face the electorate.Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin today welcomed the growing number of rivals who have announced their intention to contest against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak in the next general election.

Muhyiddin Yassin secretly wishes that happens and Najis looses so that he can take over. Be careful very careful of this cunning fox. DPM’s heart is smiling at this news.. He is praying and hoping Najib loses so his Premiership is expedited. Poor Najib has no comments as usual.. PM your biggest enemy is your Number two .Muhyiddin Yassin, najib has held the seat because of postal votes. Do you remember najib in tears in one of the elections when he was losing? Th ebloody postal votes is what is keeping him there just like for many who are corrupt, who cheat, steal, fondle, butt-grope, murder, slander and many many more.
MALAYSIAN VOTERS JAI HO VICTORY CELEBRATION CONTINUES WE ARE FOR CHANGE ANWAR Our Choice
Najib’s reluctance to face debates or criticism makes him a serious liability to UMNO and Barisan for undermining democracy.
This will affect more Barisan’s chance of retaining power in the next general election.
Najib Razak will NEVER be elected as the next PM because he is corrupted to the core (Scorpene Scandal) and the death of an innocent woman (Altantuya). Besides he is immoral, a coward and an idiot as well. Malaysians would definitely support and vote in Mr. Anwar Ibrahim as the next Prime Minister of a New Malaysia. Najib can go to hell for all we care! Liar, cheater and most corrupted in the country – Najib Razak.Born with a silver spoon , shoe.in as an MP after his Father’s passing, married a princess(before Rosmah) and inherited the PMship after Sleepy Pak Lah, you expect him to be a good leader , decisive and self.confident? Never work a day in his life, he probably want to turn the Prime Minister’s post to be life.long like a monarchy. But, the Rakyat will not allow it
Arrogant leaders do not even deign to speak to the Opposition or the voters who oppose them.
Arrogance is breeding mediocrities abound in UMNO and Barisan. The arrogance of leadership is dooming the coalition. Arrogant leadership candidates will also be doomed by the voters as at the end of the day the people will decide who should become their leaders.
Voters have time and time again rejected arrogant leaders and made their participation in the political process gloomy. Ignoring the people in a democracy will result in people bringing in changes in the voting pattern beyond the misfortune of one arrogant politician.
They must have have seen this portent in history before.
Many governments have fallen due to their political egos and the fact that the voters no longer found the egoistic leaders as assets to the nations.
Promoting coerced obedience to politics and policies and subscribing to beliefs that only a single party or coalition can rule the country is damaging UMNO. Opinion polls in the country are now showing dwindling support for UMNO and Barisan.
How popular is prime minister Najib Razak? According to the recent survey by University of Malaya’s Center for Democracy and Elections (UMCEDEL), his popularity rating stood at 58 per cent.
But judging by the number of dislikes received for a YouTube video of his first live interactive session on Google Hangout, the survey results could raise doubts.
Weeks after opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim’s own Google Hangout session, it was Najib’s turn to host the live interactive session on October 3 to take questions from netizens.
“Google hangout is a new medium. Tonight we made history, to me this is very encouraging. In just one hangout like this, millions of Malaysians can watch and listen in to my message,” Najib had declared.
His hour-long session however saw him taking only five questions.
The recorded video for the #TanyaNajib session was posted on YouTube, and immediately drew thousands of ‘dislike’ votes. Not long after, the video was barred from public view and went into ‘private’ mode.
A screen snapshot showed the number of ‘dislikes’ stood at 1,409 and ‘likes’ at 605.
The video was later re-posted on YouTube by others. A posting on the YouTube channel of Astro Awani attracted 52,076 viewers at press time, with a whopping 13,037 viewers clicking ‘dislike’ compared to 332 who ‘liked’.
Another YouTube channel ‘CliffyTRGx3′ recorded 1,653 viewers, gathering 261 ‘dislikes’ against a mere 16 ‘likes’.
And naturally, the pages where the video appears are flooded with criticisms and snide remarks about Najib, such as why he had been refusing a public debate with Anwar, as well as over his absence this week during the budget debate in parliament.
It is not their policies in governance per se. It is the fact that people do not support these policies when they are tinged with arrogance or snobbishness. However, despite all the negative feedback from the public it does not seem to tweak these leaders.
They do not want to speak to the Opposition in the august house of Parliament and little do they realise that by doing so they are in truth not speaking to the electorate and this is incurring the people’s wrath.
To UMNO, politics and budget have become a marketing package for political survival and not for the people to debate on the practicality of their budget policies.
Najib has thus failed to engaging people in the political process in a democracy. But his demeanours are being spun by the government-controlled media not as undemocratic. Najib’s lack of concern and curse for the Opposition is not going to push up his popularity ratings.
It has in fact resulted in the mediocrity of politics. This is due to Najib’s self-made pomposity. UMNO is desperately creating a political class in society. No leader should be hailed as a natural leader just because his lineage had been in politics in the past.
