This is the time when, if pushed, the right kind of laws to control this menace would go through, as the political parties, all of them, would think twice before opposing any such legislation fearing a public backlash. Giving in to what some call the ‘fatigue’ factor now is exactly what the corrupt want – benefit from the notoriously short public memory and get back to their normal task of milking the nation.
