When Shankar and Superstar Rajinikanth come together, can there be a compromise on style and grandeur? We all saw Rajinigiven a complete makeover in Sivaji – The Boss. In fact, nobody in Tamil cinema had even imagined the Superstar in such an avataar.
Sources say there are innumerable surprises in Shankar’s forthcoming Endhiran. This awesome combo is coming out with ideas which are just out of the world, said a source in the unit. Word has got out that Rajinikanth will be seen in 100 different styles during a song in the film.
Hectic shooting activity was reported from Ramoji Film Studios in Hyderabad, and India’s best choreographers are working on this film. One of the songs was recently completed. It is heard thatRajinikanth plays a dual role in this film produced by Sun Pictures.
Music for the film was composed by A.R. Rahman more than an year ago. Almost all the songs of the film have been canned till now; only the climax needs to be shot. The film is expected to be completed by end of this year.

The forthcoming Rajinikanth starrer and Shankar directed Robot has been renamed as 'Endhiran'.
However, Shankar has retained the original title as the sub-title. The movie, following the style of ' Sivaji The Boss', has been rechristened as 'Enthiran the Robot'.The film, which is arguably the first full fledged sci-fi film in Tamil, is said to be based on two novels written by late Sujatha. Rajnikanth had earlier announced that the film, produced by London-based Aingaran Films International (Pvt) Ltd., would get a Tamil title soon. The Tamil title was not intended to get the tax-exemption, but to honour the State Government's commitment to patronize films with Tamil titles. Three photo-shoots have been held to promote the film, including one that was shot in Hollywood in U.S. last week. The shooting is expected to kick off in Brazil from September 20 onwards. Produced at a whopping budget of Rs.140 crore, the film is said to be the most expensive film made in India in any language till date.
