For RM100 an Indian voter becomes undecided. That's how cheap these people can be bought. Don't blame others for being so marginalised, you asked for it.In Malaysia, everthing boleh. With just RM100.00, a sari, a package of flour for Muluku will buy you their vote. So easy...

I have been asking the same question for the longest time, it just doesn't add up, so few people really benefit from UMNO and BN on the grand scale of things (there are more than 26 million people in Malaysia) yet with all their blatant hanky panky they are in power election after election.

Apparently the UMNO/BN Pahang state government had awarded a logging concession worth RM100 million to UMNO Pahang almost 10 years back.

This scam apparently took root in March 1998 with the concessionary award to UMNO Pahang approved by someone from UMNO's ruling elites of Pahang. Then it got murkier and murkier until the verdict of the Appeals Court today. I'm not going to go into details of the chain of events from 1998 until now except to direct you to Malaysiakini's reports on this subject if you are interested.

Despite reading all the above Malaysiakini reports, I can barely understand what went on EXCEPT that some "hanky panky" must have occurred involving UMNO fellas involving money or state resources by someone from UMNO in a position of authority. Now haven't we heard this so many times before?

But that is not the purpose of this post. My purpose is to ask why there are still so many Malaysians who would continue to support UMNO/BN when we have countless examples of UMNO/BN politicians taking advantage of the power entrusted in them by ordinary Malaysians to rob us who entrusted them in the first place?

How is this possible? How can a PM that is accused of murder not stand in court and cler his name? How can the person that stood to benefit most fromt he murder of a certain woman not stand in court to clear his name? How can RM500 Million be paid to anyone for a government deal as a commision? How can all the toll contracts be so heavily biased towards the CONcessionaires? How can BN or UMNO openly and repeatedly award contracts without tender to companies that give kickbacks to them? How can so many front benchers hold their seats with prior corruption known by all? How does the judicary keep openly biased judges in their fold? How does a state that calls for snap elections not get snap election and fall into chaos as the judicary attempts to sort out the executive?
How can the police officer responsible for the worst rise in crime in the history of the country keep his job?(and be asked to extend his already overstayed contract)

My god what is going on? We all know what is going on! Every man and woman and child in Malaysia is being sodimised by the people that are supposed to be looking after us.

Malaysians are too tolerant, the laws say that you are a traitor if you speak up against the government, that you are a threat to the security of the country if you speak up. What rubbish! The real threat to our security are the gatekeepers themselves, the people with greatest responsiblilty to our safety are the greatest traitors.

Thank god for the internet and the way it has enabled us to voice our opinion and to educate those that know no better.

Very simply put --- That is why we have poor quality education and minimum meritocracies. It is intentional by design so that the few recycled rich & well connected families can perpetually take turns to influence the direction the country goes. Its all about keeping the arrogant club of well to do & well connected and bread crumps for the general public. Note how the ministers can sleep so well even with one sided highway concessions. You call that doing the job entrusted to them right.....something wrong here.
