Artikel Raja Petra Kamarudin bertajuk “Me serve the rakyat? Nah!” menggambarkan Dr Hassan Mohamed Ali dengan imej yang begitu menjijikkan. Saya tidak tahu sama ada apa yang digambarkan itu benar atau tidak. Saya harap sangat tidak benar – walaupun saya terkenang-kenang posting Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo yang bertajuk “Impian saya” dan berita dalam Siasah bertajuk “Rombongan PAS untuk mendengar tawaran BN, kata Khalid Samad“.
Raja Petra belum tentu tulis yang benar. Kalau dia memfitnahkan Dr Hassan, saya fikir Exco Kerajaan Selangor itu perlu mengambil tindakan undang-undang terhadap Raja Petra. Soal anak raja Bugis itu menghilang tidak sepatutnya menjadi halangan kepada tindakan undang-undang itu. Dia boleh diwakili oleh peguamnya.
Dr Hasssan perlu membersihkan namanya yang kelihatan begitu buruk kelakunya dengan paparan artikel tersebut yang entah betul, entah tidak. Beliau perlu membuktikan kepada dunia dan lebih penting dari itu, kepada pengundi-pengundinya diGombak Setia bahawa beliau bukanlah jenis perangai jijik seperti itu. Jika ada di antara 14,391 orang yang mengundi beliau dalam pilihan raya umum lalu yang membaca artikel Raja Petra itu, saya amat berharap mereka tidak mempercayainya.
Lebih baik lagi, saya harap sangat tidak ada seorang pun di antara mereka yang membaca artikel tersebut.
Jika mereka baca dan percaya, Dr Hassan will be another political demon. And, no sane person will vote a political demon. Lainlah kalau depa tu semuanya kepala tak betul dan alumni hospital sakit jiwa.
Dengan harapan orang akan berpegang kepada sikap “dont kill the messenger,” saya nak cerita apa yang orang Gombak Setia kata. Salah seorang dari mereka yang saya jumpa di gerai nasi lemak Leman di Greenwood kata, “Kita tetap nak PAS bertanding di Gombak Setia, tapi kita tak mau Hassan Ali. Kalau nak kena buat petition, kita buat petition”.

Realising the damage done to the party over the unity government proposal, PAS leaders from the pro-Pakatan Rakyat (PR) faction are now prepared to retaliate against the conservatives who favour forging closer ties with Umno.
Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat and several senior members of the Erdogans faction had a closed-door discussion just after the recently-concluded party muktamar (general assembly) to come up with an action plan against the ulama faction in the party who are still keen on forging closer ties with Umno.
A party insider familiar with the meeting said former vice-president Datuk Husam Musa, who was defeated in the deputy presidential contest, may decline appointment to the central working committee as a sign of protest.
And they are also trying to get another defeated deputy presidential contender Mohamad Sabu not to join the new line-up.
“Nik Aziz was very sad with the ongoing debate on a unity government,” said the source who spoke on condition of anonymity.
“We are worried that the idea has become popular among some PAS leaders. In Perak, voices against the dissolution of assembly can already be heard, and in Selangor there are attempts to revive the unity talks with Umno.
