I guess to push the point across, the British could (if the admonishment is not taken seriously) slap a Commonwealth Nations economic sanction on Malaysia, and Canada and Australia would not only 'mind' but 'take' their own businesses somewhere else too, ei?
And what is Khairy going to tell the British? That Malaysia has adapted but over time, effectively perverted the British's judiciary and parliamentary systems once handed down to Malaysia as a stepping stone for independence governance? It warms the heart to know that righteous and fair minded people the world over are taking an open stand against the persecution of DSAI.
Firstly, well done whatever pressure group/people or person behind this initiative.
Just a while back, it was the Aussie MP's showing support and voicing their concern of Anwar's persecution and now, we find the UK gallery taking the same stance. I must add, this is all well coordinated though I had reservations of Anwar taking his persecution onto the international front.

‘Why is Anwar Ibrahim still the opposition leader?’ asked Khairy. I suppose that is a fair question. Seeing that PKR now has the lesser number of seats in parliament compared to DAP, the DAP leader should instead take over as the new opposition leader in parliament.

Allowing Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to stay on as Opposition Leader is an unusual move for Pakatan Rakyat.
Umno Youth chief Khairy Jama luddin said this was because Parti Keadilan Rakyat no longer held the majority among the Opposition following the defection of several MPs.
He said political convention dictated that the opposition party with the most number of seats in Dewan Rakyat should have the honour of having one of their MPs become the Opposition Leader.
“In this case, it should be a DAP MP who holds the post since it now commands the majority.

For example, in the UK the Opposition is known as Her Majesty’s Opposition. Perhaps UMNO should stop lambasting the Opposition and start treating it with the respect it deserves in a parliamentary democracy, unless of course we don’t live in one those in government use their resources and energy to govern and not worry about how many “opposition” ministers shadowing them, the country may actually look like somebody is in charge of the “shop”what a wanker! Instead peeople are living in constant fear of being robbed, mugged and harrassed by cowboys and thugs with impunity on a daily basis often right in front of their houses and in their own neighbourhood. Private citizens are having to fend for themselves by having to barricade their housing estates, employing their own security at their own expense on top having having to pay taxes to support and maintain a huge police force who are usually busy doing something else more important ( you know what I am getting at). What were previously peaceful urbanised residential areas have gradually turned one by one into make shift barricaded fortresses meporically quivering at night and sometimes day even in the daytime wondering who will get mugged next.
I suppose Anwar can ask the same thing of Khairy: why is he still the Umno Youth leader? Since the Prime Minister does not have confidence in him or support him, the only and noble thing for Khairy to do is to resign as the Umno Youth leader. I would certainly do that if it happens to me. Heck, the Prime Minister won’t even give him a Cabinet post, the first time in Umno’s history that an Umno Youth leader is being treated in such a manner.
